Nat跟Chueh都創造具豐富個人特色跟充滿玩性感的繪畫敘事作品，不難看出他們源自台灣的特性；一位穿著台灣到處可見的夾腳拖的白人英語教師笨拙地拿著苦瓜、一位穿著比基尼的瘋狂台灣女孩正瘋狂地加著油…。闕（Chueh）未定義、滴流的色塊提供了夢境和幻想給起飛的地方，而Murray的作品則運用肖像、城市景觀和地圖等，總體仿佛構成一本鬆散的台灣觀察日記，伴隨著低調及不動聲色的幽默感。 在他們的畫作中清晰地表現了台灣日常生活中的荒誕和內在幽默，幫助我們重拾笑容看待這個世界。他們打破並取代了世俗文化及商業符號，同時呈現出幽默、成熟、美麗、精巧的畫作。 你一定要看看他們

Nat and Chueh both create richly personal and playful narrative paintings that are uniquely Taiwanese. A Caucasian English Teacher awkwardly holds a bitter gourd while wearing the ubiquitous Taiwanese flip flop. A Taiwanese girl wearing a bikini pumps gas in a frenzy. Chueh’s undefined, dripping color field locations create a space where day dreams and fantasies take flight. Murray’s series, as a whole, uses portraiture, city scapes, and maps, combined with an understated, deadpan humor, to present a loosely autobiographical account of life in Taiwan.
In their paintings both make clear the absurdity and inherent humor of our Taiwanese normal and in doing so help us see the world anew with a smile; breaking down and superseding mundane cultural and commercial symbols while creating humorous yet sophisticated, beautifully and skillfully rendered paintings.
